Restoration work and horses for sale.
I have done a few
rocking horse restorations for clients over the years,
and I have recently bought a couple of horses as
restoration projects, they are now looking for new
homes.
This horse was
hand carved by G. Fell of Wareing & Gillows Lancaster in
1998, to the British toy safety standard, he had been
used mainly as an ornament, and then sadly left in a
garage. He has now been restored to his former glory
and is a lovely big horse. He can take any rider up to
90kgs that's 14stone to me and you. He is in very good
condition with a full mane and tail. He does have a
couple of tiny marks as you would expect, but other wise
he is in excellent condition and just waiting to find a
new family.
He is for sale for £950 and delivery can be arranged to suit. For more
information contact Sally on 07759 134 173
I also have another
horse. He is brand new and comes with
an English Leather Bridle and brass buckles which can be
removed, and an English and Italian leather saddle which
will be nailed on for safety, as removable saddles tend
to slip.
He is on an oiled pine safety rocker
stand, this horse will look stunning in any house and be
a very attractive piece of furniture as well as a much
loved member of the family. Who will be passed down the
generations for your children's grandchildren to
enjoy. He is for sale for £1500. Viewing is strongly
recommended, but I would ask you to ring first as I am
always in apart from when I nip out. Tel Sally on 07759

The following sequence of photographs is
of a Dapple Grey that I restored. A beautiful rocking pony made in the 1800's he
has been a much loved play mate for 4 generations of the same family, after
being bought second hand in 1906. It just goes to show good quality, can always
be restored, and will last for hundreds of years.
